CHOSING THE RIGHT COLLEGE & MAKING SENSE OF THE COLLEGE ADMISSIONS PROCESS

Have you asked yourselves?

How do I address the turmoil and disarray posed by the college selection and admissions process?  Why do I need to visit the colleges? What do things cost?  What can I expect from financial aid?  What should the recommendations say?

LEARN HOW TO PUT TOGETHER AN APPLICATION THAT PRESENTS YOUR BEST CASE TO THE COLLEGE ADMISSIONS JUDGES AND LEARN HOW TO BE AN EFFECTIVE ADVOCATE.

These and other topics relevant to the college admissions process will be addressed by Rich Goldberg, an expert in the areas of college selection and college admissions, who has over 30 years’ experience as an alumni representative of Cornell University and committee chairman directly involved in the admissions process.

Mr. Goldberg has been a lecturer at the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District, a member of admissions panel programs at the Merrick Library and the Half Hollow Hills School District, a private consultant to parents and students, as well as a parent who helped guide his own 2 children through 2 college and 2 graduate school admissions processes. He has visited over 70 colleges and universities, spoken with many admissions officers over the years and reviewed numerous publications and commentaries relevant to the college selection and admissions process.  Mr. Goldberg has also been a commercial litigator for over 30 years and demonstrates how skills developed as an attorney-advocate can be applied by you and are directly applicable to making your case a better one before college admissions judges.

What he has to say will be relevant, absorbing and provide significant guidance and advice to high school students, in all grades, AND their parents. Your questions will be liberally encouraged.
