Dear Congregants,
Tickets for the High Holy Days will be mailed to all members in good standing (the first third of current year’s dues and any outstanding balances must be paid) on or about September 1, 2015. After that date, payments can be made and tickets picked up at the Temple office Monday through Thursday from 10 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday, 10 AM to 2:30 PM.
Everyone must have his or her own ticket in order to enter the sanctuary. No one will be allowed into the sanctuary without a ticket. Please make sure to have your ticket with you and not left with another family member. You will have to wait until the family member with the tickets arrives at the Temple’s front doors. Everyone must enter the Temple through the front doors, except for members that need to use the elevator. The custodians will be at the elevator to assist anyone who needs it.
Our youth program on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur mornings will include arts and crafts, holiday story telling and music and will be held in several classrooms for children in pre-school through 1st grade, and any 2nd or 3rd graders who wish to attend. Snacks will also be served. Adults and teens will supervise these activities. Babysitting for toddlers age 3 through kindergarten is no longer available.
Our wonderful FAMILY SERVICE is the most appropriate service for all children. The service is conducted by the Rabbi and Cantor in the Sanctuary beginning at 2:00 PM, on the first day of Rosh Hashanah and on Yom Kippur. Family Services are open to all members of the community, and no tickets are required.
Complimentary tickets will be issued to widowed parents of Congregants and unmarried children 19 through age 24 living at home. Relatives that belong to another temple can get complimentary tickets if they provide a reciprocal letter from their temple with the ticket request form. We must receive a completed ticket request form in order to issue these tickets. You may purchase additional tickets for parents, married children, children 25 and older and relatives living outside of the metropolitan area for $100 each. Please submit a check with your completed request form by September 1, 2015 so we may process and mail these additional tickets together with your family tickets. After September 1, 2015 additional tickets can be purchased in the Temple Office.
We hope that you and your family have a very happy and healthy new year.
L’Shana Tova,
David Plass David Roberts Temple President Ritual Committee Chairman
