Purim this year falls on Saturday night (February 23rd) and Sunday morning. If you
look at different web sites, Purim is usually described as "one of the most joyous and fun
holidays on the Jewish calendar." Since the school is having its annual Purim carnival on
Monday, I thought why shouldn't the adults have fun as well! In this spirit, I am inviting
you to a FREE (you read that correctly) dinner Saturday night February 23rd. It will be a
kosher deli dinner from Ben's served with wine.

In order to prepare for this event we MUST ask that you make reservations NO LATER
than February 16th. We will be ordering food based on the number of reservations that we
receive by this date. The meal will begin at 6:30pm followed by services at 8:00pm.

In addition, if you would like the honor of reading from the Megilla (in English) please let
us know. Call my secretary Jayne at 378-3477 (by February 16th) and tell her how many
adults will be attending and/or whether you would like to participate in the service.

Rabbi Dr. Ronald Brown

P.S. On an entirely different topic, I've invited a rabbinic colleague from a Paris synagogue
to speak at Friday night services March 8th. Considering what is happening with the
Jewish community in Europe this should be an interesting topic.
