In our continuing efforts to help the entire community in dealing with the aftermath of Sandy, we are providing a special complementary program to be held at the Merrick Jewish Centre.

  • Overview of problems and situations in Federally Declared Disaster Areas.
  • What you need for adjuster reports.
  • Information required for the Insurance Companies.
  • Documentation requirements for Insurance and Taxes.
  • Brief Discussion of Tax options and laws to maximize deductions.

Moderator:
We have invited Jerry Schreiber CPA, a partner in a firm in Louisiana, with an expertise and
specialization in Disaster Recovery. He has lectured extensively in Louisiana, Texas, and
Tennessee to assist those areas that have suffered significant loss of property.
He is currently a member of the various task force committees thru the American Institute
of CPA’s, and has received many awards of recognition for this specialization. Jerry has
appeared on IRS’ Tax Talk Today and Nationwide Forums, and authored articles on
Casualty Losses and Hurricane Katrina Matters.

This program is open to all members of the community, and will include time to
answer all the questions and concerns we have as we continue to move forward in
our community efforts to rebuild and support each other.
