American Red Cross Seminar Dec 11 on Coping With Aftereffects of Sandy

Dear Congregants,
I hope this email finds you well and surviving in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy
I wanted to share this information regarding an upcoming program being held by the Community Parent Center in our ongoing effort to provide recovery from Superstorm Sandy.  The presentation is for adults and all are welcome and encouraged to attend.  A flyer is attached.  If you have any questions, feel free to call.
Superstorm Sandy has had a devastating effect on our community.  But Bellmore- Merrick is a resilient community that is supportive and caring. For many of our neighbors and friends, the next few months may be confusing and uncertain, but they will also be a time to rebuild and recover.
During these arduous times, the Bellmore-Merrick CHSD, the Community Parent Center, Senator Fuschillo and Legislator Denenberg are hosting a seminar, Coping with the Aftereffects of Superstorm Sandy: An Evening to Listen, Learn & Share, on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.  The program will be held at Mepham High School, located at 2401 Camp Avenue in Bellmore.
It is essential to help our community cope during this challenging time, when many are strained and struggling.
Please join them for an evening to help rebuild and recover a sense of physical and emotional safety and stability in our community. The program is being presented by credentialed disaster support professionals from the American Red Cross – Long Island Chapter.  There will be a Keynote Speaker followed by breakout sessions for parents of pre-school and school age children, adults and senior citizens.  All adults are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Pre-registration is suggested.
