Youth Programs (Youth Groups)

Mark Derwin, Youth Director

Temple Beth Am has three vibrant Youth Groups for children grades 5-12. Our Advisor, Mark Derwin, has been involved with Youth Groups for more than 25 years and has been running the programs at Beth Am for 15 years. He has a strong background from camps like Eisner and Kutz as well as his own Youth Group experiences in LIFTY and NFTY. He believes that children who come to Youth Group stay active in their Temples longer, and go on to have a stronger sense of their Jewish Identity. Information about our meetings is posted on the bulletin board outside of the Youth Lounge. If you have any questions about the youth programs, please feel free to contact Mark at Mark_Derwin@IBI.com.

Below are the tentative dates for the 2012 / 2013 year.  Changes and flyers will be posted as the dates approach.

The 56 Club
The 56 Club is for children in grades 5-6. We meet one Sunday a month, and whether it is an in house meeting or a trip, we always a lot of fun. In the past, our trips have included: laser tag, rock climbing, swimming, bowling, miniature golf, gaga and the New York party zone. We are always looking for new and exciting places to visit. Our in-house meetings include scavenger hunts, Chanuka parties and chocolate seders.
